Sentebale

Sentebale is a charity founded by The Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso in 2006, following Prince Harry’s gap year to Lesotho in 2004. Sentebale works with local grassroots organizations to help the most vulnerable children in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi to lead a healthy and productive lives. Many of the children supported by Sentebale are victims of extreme poverty and HIV/AIDS.

In 2014, WSD signed a strategic partnership arrangement with Sentebale to support its Mamohato’s Children Centre. The Centre is a flagship facility in Lesotho to help children living with HIV.

In 2017, WSD partnered with Sentebale and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to organize a panel discussion for World AIDS Day. The event explored the specific needs, challenges and opportunities for adolescents and young adults living with HIV around the world.
